I don’t know about you, but I always want my work space to be clean and organized. I cannot work when there is a mess. I am a freelance writer, so my job is seasonal, there are days, weeks or even months when I have no jobs to do at all, but when I do get a job, it’s usually by the bulk, which means I stay on my desk 18 hours a day, sometimes even more to ensure I get my tasks done. I am an unwilling workaholic, I don’t like leaving unfinished tasks if I can help it, but alas, I need to do human things like eat, sleep, bathe and use the toilet. I am also a mother so I need to take care of the family as well. It’s a balancing act but I manage. Well, most of the time I manage. There are times when I don’t. But hey, like I said, I’m only human.

Since I work from home, everything can easily mesh together, but I make sure that my work area stays conducive to working. I don’t allow the kids to play on my desk or leave their things on it, the hubby manages to mess it up from time to time though, leaving his own documents and stuff on it, but I always manage to keep it spic and span although there are days when I certainly feel like my work space is worthy of joining  that Pimp My Cube Contest, but I know someone is more deserving of an office space overhaul than me.
